  Project Four:

Educational Animated GIF

Project Requirements

Your fourth project will be to construct an animated GIF that teaches an educational concept and demonstrates information in a purely visual manner.

We will be exploring different techniques of using animated GIFs as instructional tools.

The requirements of this project are:

  1. Image size: Width should not exceed 600 pixels.
  2. The image must show the represented data of your designated topic in a new, innovative and creative way.
  3. Animation should be the best solution to the problem - not static graphics or text.
  4. Supporting information about the data - the original source - must also be included.
  5. The animated GIF must be drawn be the student, but objects used in the animation may be from other sources such as scanned from a book or saved from the Web. The bibliographic source for the image, however, must be noted in full, and handed in with this project.

Students without correct and appropriate references for their images will not receive a grade for this project.

We will review an evaluation matrix for this project.
